Kissing girls is better than kissing boys

**Back posted from Myspace, which is no-more.

So I was bound and determined NOT to like the song that's currently my default (I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry). Quite simply I agreed with all of the blogs I'd been reading; it perpetuates the stereotype that girls kiss other girls to make their boyfriends' happy. I hadn't listened to it, mostly for that very reason, until today. I can't help it, I fucking love it - so now it's my profile song.

Besides, I think we all know that when most of us kiss girls, it's got nothing to do with any boy at all. Girls are just infinitely better to kiss. And I can admit a time when I kissed girls for that reason, or at least that was the excuse I used.

She's got other questionable songs along the homo lines, so she warrants further investigation, but for now I like it and I will listen to it.

So there. Never let it be said that I stick to my convictions! (Lyrics below, if you're interested).

And also, completely off topic, I was called "a hot little gay" the other day. Just thought I'd put that out there.

Lyrics for "I Kissed A Girl"
"I KISSED A GIRL"
Katy Perry; Dr. Luke; Max Martin; Cathy Dennis

(V1)
This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion

It's not what
I'm used to
Just wanna try u on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

(CHORUS)
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

(V2)
No I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
You're my expiramental game
Just human nature

It's not what
Good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets
So confused
Hard to obey

(CHORUS)
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

(BRIDGE)
Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

(CHORUS)
I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chapstick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

I was tagged a LONG time ago...

But hey, I remembered - that's what's important, right?

List ten different things about yourself that are not known by the general population....or your friends and family for that matter.

1. I got teased in 6th grade for this one particular day when I wore pig tails on either side of my head and a baby blue sweatshirt dress with glittery kittens on it. My Mom totally dressed me that day (and I loved it!)

2. I was a cheerleader in middle school, except we were called "yell leaders" and weren't cool. Or mean.

3. I really, really wish that I knew how to paint or draw - but I'm terrible

4. My first kiss was on a dare in middle school, and we totally bumped noses the first time, so they made us try it again. My first "grown up" kiss wasn't until my Junior year of high school.

5. My step-mom was my 5th grade and favorite teacher (she married my Father after that though)

6. I talk to myself in my car all the time, especially when I don't have a stereo

7. I'm mildly agoraphobic (big, open spaces. It's because of tornados.)

8. I picked my Hello Kitty obsession up from a guy I knew - who was just as obsessed as I was (seriously, he had a wallet)

9. In college I played live action role playing games where we walked around and pretended to be vampires. I did it because I got to dress up in fun clothes and flirt a lot.

10. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be able to sit in a chair with my knees pulled up against my chest, but was never able to because I was too fat. Recently I've started to be able to do it.
